Marissa Claasen is a passionate actor, writer and singer who completed her Btech degree at the Tshwane University of Technology in 2013. She specialized in Voice and Singing, which allows her to portray many different characters using character voices and accents. She made her debut in theatre, in Lefra’s Farce ‘Daa gaat die bruid’ in 2016 and also showed her versatility as a performer whilst portraying various characters in Liewe Heksie’. In 2017 she portrayed Nina van Rooyen in very popular ‘Fiela se kind’. Passionate about the environment, Marissa wrote and directed a Children’s Theatre production, ‘Die Laaste Mango’, which made its debut at Aardklop festival in 2018. More recently, she has been portraying several lead roles in farces across South Africa. These productions include ‘My Man se Skelmpie se Skelmpie se Vrou’, ‘My Oom se Vrou se Plekkie’ and ‘My Vrou se Man se Vrou’.
