Elsje Lourens received her Diploma in Musical Theater and Dance at Oakfields College in 2016. Through her student years she work in student productions such as: Passing Strange (choreographer), Naledi: An African Journey (dance captain), J’Zel (dance ensemble) The Cradle will Rock (ensemble/Stevie), Carrie (ensemble).
Staight out of college she stepped into her first professional show Doringrosie Pantomime (ensemble/ understudy for Koninging Appeliefie) and right after experienced the “backstage” life in Rock of Ages:SA (Props Ass.).
Not stopping there, she joined hands with children’s theater and performed with a team in Lus Vir Lees .
In 2019 her journey to Turkey started where she performed as dancer at an International company (TUI Magic Life).
During Covid she broadened her knowledge and got her teacher in Hip Hop and other dance styles. She took a leap of faith and performend in Getroud met Rugby as a dancer for a few Episodes She finds herself starring in the Janice Honeyman Pantomime in 2022 and will be playing ensemble and understudy, let’s keep it a secret…
